Vote No on Prop. 50!
Defend the Constitution!
Defend the Will of the People!
Who We Are?
“No on 50, Chinese Americans for the Constitution” is a coalition of Americans of Chinese descent who stand firmly against authoritarianism and resolutely support democracy. We deeply respect and cherish the United States Constitution —the foundation of democracy, law and order, freedom, and prosperity in our society. By the same token, we respect the California Constitution. Through personal experiences, we have witnessed the tragic collapse of nations as a result of lacking constitutional checks and balances. Today, we call on all patriotic Californians to stand with us in opposing the unconstitutional Proposition 50.
Why Vote No to Proposition 50?
- Politically Motivated Power Grab: Prop. 50 is being pushed by hyper-partisan lawmakers to serve their party’s interests—not the public’s.
- Reverses Voter-Approved Reforms: Prop. 11 (2008) and Prop. 20 (2010) gave redistricting power to a nonpartisan Citizen Redistricting Commission, removing it from politicians. Prop. 50 threatens to reverse this progress.
- Disregards the Will of the People: Over 61% of voters supported Prop. 20, affirming that electoral boundaries should be drawn by citizens—not politicians or party-affiliated officials.
- Erodes Constitutional Safeguards: If passed, Prop. 50 could allow the government to bypass existing constitutional checks and call special elections to alter foundational laws at will.
- Opens the Door to Authoritarianism: Weakening constitutional authority risks sliding society toward political authoritarianism—echoing painful lessons from abroad.
- Accelerates California’s Decline: With no effective checks and balances, California is already grappling with rising crime, unaffordable energy, rampant homelessness, lawlessness, and ballooning debt. Proposition 50 would deepen these crises and accelerate decline.
- Massive Waste of Public Resources: Hundreds of millions in campaign funds are being spent on a special election to amend the California Constitution for political gain.
“No on 50, Chinese Americans for the Constitution”
Prop. 50?
- Politically Motivated Power Grab: Prop. 50
- Disregards the Will of the People:超过 61%的加州选民投票赞成了2010 Prop.
- Opens the Door to Authoritarianism:如果允许Prop.
- Massive Waste of Public Resources:
